What We Do

Regardless of one’s situation, every person is valuable and has purpose. Some face an ongoing struggle to maintain stability in life, whilst others are thrust into unexpected circumstances that plunge them into a place of crisis. The GROW Centre is here to help meet immediate practical needs for clothing and food and other essentials, share opportunities for follow-on support and give encouragement and hope.

How We Do It

Clothing and other basic necessities are available at no cost through a referral / voucher process to help families with critical needs for everyday items or those needing something suitable for a job interview, school uniform, etc. By being an additional local distribution point for Wadebridge Foodbank, there is broader access to emergency food parcels for Camelford and the surrounding communities. Further aspects of support will develop to include partnering with other charities and organisations to run helpful courses, host community events, connect people to personalised support and provide other types of practical help.

Why We Do It

The Bible tells us that Christians should help people in need because every person has been created by and is loved by God. Our aim is to supplement the other great community support projects and activities happening in this area. While the Grow Centre is beginning as a project of a local church, our hope is that other businesses, organisations, churches, charities and individuals will be inspired to connect in to make an even bigger impact. From donating goods, to funds, to volunteering time and support, there’s no limit to how we can join together to GROW together to help each other through life. Over time, we hope to open more Grow Centre’s in other small communities to provide similar help, support and encouragement to people in need.

Every child deserves not just the essentials, but access to things to help grow their imagination, knowledge and skills. By donating new and gently used toys, children’s books and games, you can bring joy and inspiration to a child in need.

Contact us today to find out how you can help their present and grow their future.

Beyond the basics, the Grow Centre aims to offer specialised support such as debt counselling, CV writing, tutoring and more by partnering with other charities and organisations. If you would like to be a part of making this happen, just give us a call!

Our resource network is growing and evolving, such as partnering with Wadebridge FoodBank to be an additional local distribution location. Where on-the-spot support isn’t possible, we aim to provide referrals and materials to help every person find the help they need.

Please get in touch if…

  • You have resources we can provide or connect people with.
  • You or your organisation would like to be authorised to issue Grow Vouchers.
