“For me, CAP Life Skills was ideal. I used to keep myself isolated but I’ve ended up with friends now. The group taught me that I’m not unloved and I’m not worthless, like I’d always thought. I’m sad it’s finished!”
— Jenny, CAP Life Skills member
What is Life Skills?
Life Skills is a free service to teach you the skills you need to improve big parts of your life, like money, relationships, organisation and health. You’ll meet new friends and be amazed at the confidence you gain! The Life Skills course was created by CAP and is run by volunteers from Souls Harbour Church. Each Life Skills cohort has a session every Thursday for 8 weeks. These sessions take place between 12:45pm and 2:45pm but arrive at 12pm for an optional free lunch before we get started. If you need help with childcare please let us know.
Course
This course is designed to teach you practical ways to save money, deal with life’s pressures and take control of your future. We hope you’ll find it easy, engaging and enjoyable.
Community
Your time here should be fun and relaxing. That’s why the group setting is so important. It’s a place where you can make friends and learn from other people.
Coaching
You’ll be encouraged to set a personal goal, with friendly one-to-one support from a trained coach to help you smash it! The more you get involved in all three of these parts of the group, the more you’ll get out of CAP Life Skills. So, let’s get going!
